let the teams use any tires they want but they have to use 2 compounds?

That would mean transporting hundreds if not thousands of extra tyres to every race. Not financially a good move and also less 'green'.

Would just make more sense to get rid of the mandatory 2 compound rule, it's out of date and pointless.
 
Before this goes any further, I don't think any of us would place money on Webber winning the WDC.

Looks like McLaren will need to pick an engine supplier for 2014 very soon.

Mercedes are currently supplying themselves and Force India next year and are looking for a third team, Mclaren top of the wish list.

Mclaren ideally doesn't want to be another engine customer, but rather have a works engine. Hence rumours circulating of rebuilding a partnership with Honda.

on the subject of blocking and holding people up the 1999 malaysian gp is on sky right now lol....

Race director ****** sucks though not showing schumacher and hakkinen even though they are a few tenths apart for many laps now as schumacher attempts to let irvine run off into the lead

Trulli train? He was the master of holding up the field.
