That would mean transporting hundreds if not thousands of extra tyres to every race. Not financially a good move and also less 'green'.

Would just make more sense to get rid of the mandatory 2 compound rule, it's out of date and pointless.

Looks like McLaren will need to pick an engine supplier for 2014 very soon.

Mercedes are currently supplying themselves and Force India next year and are looking for a third team, Mclaren top of the wish list.

Mclaren ideally doesn't want to be another engine customer, but rather have a works engine. Hence rumours circulating of rebuilding a partnership with Honda.

I'm guessing they will say the same to Bianchi, maybe this years Sauber drivers? Not sure it would wash with the Torro Rosso drivers, conflict of interest
