So did the Andretti bid become cadilac or is andretti separate?

Andretti became Cadillac after F1 rejected the Andretti entry and said it wouldn't do enough for the sport/F1 brand  Must have been some internal bickering going on for them to reject it. It seems its essentially the same team/setup that Andretti created, but with Cadillac on the name instead.

Andretti then stepped down from running the team.

I'd love to see an Indycar driver come over like Herta or O'Ward. But I think Herta has already said he likes where he is, he's popular, is gelled in the team and doesn't want to move.

Coming to a new F1 team thats an unknown could be career suicide. He'd be replaced in Indycar and may not be able to get back where he was.

I can see the 2 drivers being Perez (For the Mexico/Carlos Slim money) and a rookie.

Any of you had the yearly NowTV offer yet? I was expecting to have gotten something by now but haven't seen anything.

I've just received an offer from NOW TV for £19.99 a month for 12 months.
I wish they did a motorsport package, I'm not interested in the other sports that are included in the offer.

Got a boring weekend next weekend.
So it's well timed with 6 nations and f1 being on at same time.

And even better. It's Australia. So I can watch the replay later early on Saturday and Sunday

I would expect Cadillac to use two experienced drivers initially to drive the team forward, a rookie would be quite a risk for a new team.

Question is: who? They need someone experienced and technical, preferably fast, and those drivers aren't the ones wanting to chance it.

I wonder whether someone like Drogovich would be a good choice? Yes, he doesn't have race experience but he will have three years of technical insight from being a reserve driver.

I'm sure a certain smiling Australian might be up for the challenge, he'd fit in well with Perez and the Cadillac brand. Bottas, Magnussen or even Zhou are other possibilities.
I've lost track of Drogovich since his F2 days, I believe he's done a handful of sportscar races since joining Aston Martin and that's it.

He ruled it out already. I think he's decided his F1 years are done - fair play, he's struggled ever since joining McLaren. Pérez, I dunno, doesn't seem likely to me. I don't see them wanting to take on a driver who hasn't been performing, and nice guy or not, he's not even doing reserve work.

Bottas, Magnussen or even Zhou are other possibilities.

Bottas would be my pick of those. I think he's a sorely underrated, and he brings a wealth of experience from his Mercedes years.

Definitely agree with you and Bottas, his experience will help in developing both the car and a team..
