Aren't you a little ray of sunshine. It was a serious question by the way. Ignore. After a while they become as equally insufferable as you are.
No thank you, it's warm enough just sat around.Riding at Flyup 417 today : A Superhot 34c in the shade. I imagine this is what it feels like riding DH in Egypt![]()
Yep, it was still worth the trip despite the super hot temp. Our target was to complete the Superfly track but it was too hot to take in. A couple of riders were ripping down it on Saracen DH bikes, which helped show us the lines to take for next time.No thank you, it's warm enough just sat around.
I drank 5 litres yesterday riding 4 hours at Gisburn and it was no where near this hot.
Doing DH with all the extra gear doesn't sound nice.
Did you have fun though?
Absolutely ripping now isn’t he! Feeling old yet?My son riding the top of the GBU track at Forest of Dean on Thursday

Any one got a Voodoo bizango or something with similar geometry and can offer a bit of size advice.
Brother wants to get one, he is 183cm with an 87cm inside leg (floor to crotch to be clear). That's either large or XL according to Voodoo's site. He tried a large (no xl to try anywhere) in halfords, said it felt fine, similar to his current bike in terms reach I guess (current bike is an old brand x ht01, 443 reach with a 70mm stem. L Voodoo is 475 reach with a 45mm stem). Only concern was the seattube, I know you don't size off them, but the trend of low seattube means at correct height there is only 13cm in the tube. That's still more than minimum insertion though. XL is barely any bigger, another 15mm on reach and 15mm on tube (for that concern).
I suspect either will be fine and it will be rider preference, but I'm shorter and still on 27.5, so can't help.
So anyone got one (or a similar frame) who is a similar height? What did you go for? https://voodoocycles.com/collections/spirits/products/bizango-2025-new
Thanks.

It was one of those rare days where our energy wasn't running out. Surprising given it was 26c+ and even hotter in the uplift buses. That is a ridiculous amount of runs! I get so knackered mentally after about 8.
Just about to book a trip there in early August which I can't wait for. Haven't been for 2 years.
