Yes they do, although its up you how much you spend.
I use a £15 Steelseries S&S which is rather large and works well. It allows me to adjust my aim in a much more finetuned way than just with the desk surface which grips the mouse too much so it will occasionaly make me overshoot.
There's also smooth and textured mousepads, some people like to have their mouse feel as though its gliding whereas some people like to feel like they have more control over their mouse so they use a textured pad.
Smooth pads are made from plastic, glass or metal and most cloth pads are textured.
Also before choosing a mousepad you should find out what mousepad is reccomended for your mouse, as some mice won't track properly on some mousepads. For example I have used a saitek rat 9 in the past which had trouble tracking with a lot of mousepads I tried.
