Hi been playing bioshock with the controller its very smooth.
When using the mouse the input lag is bad! very jittery,
I have turned off windows mouse acceleration and the in game acceleration.
I'm using the m65 mouse and have lowered the dpi setting to 400.
Any other ideas or thoughts

Any other games with this problem? Bioshock is a new game and it could be a problem with the mouse drivers and the game itself.

Sounds like tracking issue. Depends on the kind of jittering.

Is it very inaccurate or does it move after you move?

400 dpi is seriously low...to give you a idea I never go lower than 2000 dpi and thats with 2x24 inch 1080p monitors.

Try increasing the dpi and lowering the ingame sensitivity if it gets too jittery.

Was there something like this in the first Bioshocks, with the input controls being a bit jittery and not complete? Or am I think of a different game series?

Bioshock does have some mouse movement issues, mainly due to over-sensitivity in game.

Try this:
All the INI files are found in this folder.

Yourname\My Documents\My Games\BioShock Infinite\XGame\Config\

Mouse Sensitivity Slider

If your mouse is particularly sensitive, the ranges of the sensitivity slider might too wide for you to subtly alter.

These fixes are for XUserOptions.

CTRL-F: MinMouseLookSensitivity. It’ll be at 0.100000. Change it to about 0.05. Below it MaxMouseLookSensitivity is at 4.000000. Change the higher value to something lower. Aim for 1.0, but you can go up or down to help with the range.

Thanks guys ill give it a whirl, there's a touch of it in most games.
That I put down to sli, which seems fine when I use an Xbox controller in all the single player games. Online I use M+K
