I ordered one of the Daily Deal SSD's yesterday - order placed 10am yesterday, dispatch email 11am yesterday, for 'Next Day Delivery' via DPD.

Today, took the day off to wait in for parcel. No delivery.

The status update on the DPD website finally changed this evening from 'Nothing on record' to 'Awaiting receipt of parcel'.

This is the 4th time that this has occurred. I can forgive DPD/OCuK the first time, but 4 times now? Seriously guys, lose DPD they just don't do companies any favours. Free postage is a nice feature, but what i've saved in £7-10 in postage fees from a competitor, i've lost in a day of leave (£150 based on hourly rate). This makes competitors more tempting. This is not good as I have always purchased every computer component from OCUK for the past 6 years.

I am left with a wasted day of holiday, no SSD, and the prospect of my dodgy neighbour collecting my parcel. Not happy the first time, but four times really takes the damned mickey. :mad:
 
depends on where in the UK you live. sometimes its not possible for next day delivery. Sometimes I get next day, others its the following day. since this is the 4th time you've had this happen maybe you should come to expect it?

Mainland UK - Middlesbrough. CityLink, DX, Yodel, HDN, UPS all manage next day...
 
I find DPD pretty decent, usually get my slot as 5pm-6pm or 4pm-5pm, what annoys me is when they are 5-10 minutes early they will just sit in their van until the time has come to when they quoted delivery. Don't understand, I'd rather early delivery than on time and I'm sure others would too?

Worried for CityLink now xD Got stuff coming via CityLink tomorrow, hopefully it shows!

Have to say Parcel Force are decent, have had parcels arrive at 8:30am before!

DPD have been flawless for me - delivered on time, every time and drivers were fairly friendly - compared to pretty much every other courier which struggle to manage next day delivery and have the most dour drivers ever.
 
I too am from North East, 10 miles from Middlesbrough and DPD are excellent, I would hate to miss a delivery mind since they are based in Durham?
 
DPD and DX have been great for me. Citylink though were terrible, 1 out of 5 items delivered on time. I actually took a day off work one time to await a large delivery. Saw the van pull up, driver hopped out with card in hand, ran to the door and popped the missed delivery card through the letterbox. Had to chase after him to get him to rather grudgingly hand over the parcel.
 
DPD have not been to bad for me, they did manage to loose my order in 2010 (Juat after the snow) but generally they have delivered when scheduled.
