Yeah the side stand looks so flimsy. Its like when I first got a top box I couldn't actually get on the bike! (I hated that top box initially!!). I ended up looking at YouTube videos to see how other people mounted their bikes. One technique involved stepping onto the left hand footrest when the bike was on its side stand. There's no way I was brave enough to try that. I just imagined an extra 85kg onto an already leaned over bike would end in disaster.
