Just ordered a 128GB SSD, looking for some advice about what to do when it gets here.

Current set-up (hard drive wise) : 279GB main hard drive (C: ), 140GB back-up drive (E: ). (DVD RW Drive is D: )

Where would the SSD want to go? Should it be the new C: drive, with everything else moving along a letter or should I just stick it at the end?

The SSD will be the boot drive, it'll also have any games over a few gigabytes.

Going to do a fresh install, then copy games and that over to it. What would I then do with 279GB hard drive? Is there a way to uninstall Windows from that, but keep all the files, or should I just leave it on there?

Dead on 128GB for my main drive, going to clean that up a bit today though.

If I'd be cloning it I could always delete things like music from the SSD, since they won't benefit from being on it.

Gigabyte Z68P-DS3.

Just got my main drive down to 119GB, that'll do for now. I can always keep the non vital stuff on the main hard drive rather than using precious ssd space.
