Moving out for Uni

the amount you spend on bog roll, depends on how much take away you have! Its not cheap, more or less £5 for 12 rolls of velvet, only the best for my cheeks. Lasts about 3-4 weeks, depending how generous you are with it!

I spend £270 a month on rent, and I manage to blow about £420-£500 a month on going out, food, clothes. Parents help by paying for the water/gas/electricity.

Currently I pay £70 a week for my uni house all bills included. Although the internet is dire (avoid Cablecom at all times). From my experience it depends on how well you want to live my friend. For instance I probably spend around £10-£20 per week on general food i.e. milk bread and insert beer & booze here. You will soon realise how much Aldi, lidl and iceland are yours friends also a 3 litre bottle of cider tends appear for a cheap night out. I also spend about £10 a day on food + drink when I'm in uni eating out and sandwich shops etc. As for nights out depends on where you go. Make sure you go to your freshers fair and grab everything free on the go as we normally get free/discounted entry to popular night clubs around coventry. I generally work with a £65 a week budget and that works for me but its a case of find the right level and seeing what you can afford. If your struggling most supermarkets sell instant noodles for 8p bits of bread and a tub of mixed herbs and your set for life!

I'm in a similar situation actually, considering moving out for a year, also at Liverpool. Got a fair bit of cash saved up, but would probably get though it. But I regret not moving out, mostly for the experiences that I am missing out. Can't decide what would be best to do really

If you can afford it Jotun do it! The way I thought about it was I'm only at university once in my life and money comes and goes might as well have a good time whilst I'm there! P.s. I actually only live 15 miles away from my uni and still live away from home.
