I was using my new 3TB HDD in my new PC build to test my OC, now that i have everything setup i have place in my SSD drivers from my old PC and run windows 7 install and told windows to delete/format all data from my 3TB and proceed to install windows on 1 of my SSD drives. I have now noticed that this new 3TB has 3 partitions, 1 is a 'System Reserved' and the other 2 are 'Unallocated'. Now i know i need to convert this 3TB into a GPT disk, but i appear to be unable to do this because of this 'System reserved' partition on the drive.....

Is there away i can delete or more this System reserved partition to another drive so i can convert this 3TB is GPT disk??

Damn it i wanted to avoid that, but i guess thats the only way. Even if i take the 3TB drive out windows wont boot as i have removed the drive with the System reserved partiton on. Oh well

yeah it messes the boot up,windows installs something on the other drives so it best disconnect them all while keeping the drive in your installing windows on plugged in

can try with just the ssd and boot from windows dvd disc and do a startup repair, might take two or three tries to fix it

Tried the System repair option but didnt work, just unplugged all drives bar my windows SSD and reinstall windows, as you suggested. Glad i didnt have too many program installed. Thanks for the info
