I'm jealous

We leave in 11 days. We're in San Francisco at the moment which is awesome, but I'm going to be so sad to leave Vancouver.

I just want to get out of here now. We've spent today packing, we have so much bloody stuff, the journey is going to be a nightmare! Tomorrow will be spent cleaning our flat all day, then we finally go on Tuesday. Excited to be going home now to be honest with you. We've had an amazing year.

It took a good couple of years to get over coming back to be honest with you, the only reason I don't feel so bad about it is because it feels like so long ago that we were there. I'm now married and have a nearly 5 month old so so I can't say I have any regrets, it would be hard to have a young kid and be so far away from family.

Having said all that I'd love to still be there and it would be awesome bringing a kid up in Vancouver. Who knows there many be some opportunities to go live there again in the future - not sure how but you never know.

Yeah they changed it from being able to have two one-year visas to having one two-year one. We did apply when we got back to the UK so could have gone back for another two years as they weren't excluding people who had only been once before. Due to wanting a baby and also money we decided not to go.
