Hi all, I'll be moving to Cheshire in the next 2 months. I live in West London atm. My sons are 19 and 21, the 19 yr old is currently in his 2nd yr of apprenticeship so we'll need to be near a good college. Also need to be able to get to big cities (Liverpool/Manchester) for my 21 yr old I to fund work.
Don't know anything about Cheshire, just feels right to relocate there and start afresh.
Ideally we would like 3/4 bed detached property in a nice area close to local shops/shopping centres. But also for it to be semi rural, countryside but at the same time not completely cut off.

Please let me know which areas I should be looking at. My budget will be 150k-200. I'm selling my house and awaiting a decent offer, so unsure of the actual amount U'll have. Thankyou, can't wait to hear from you all.

Move to Moss Side in Manchester, your £150-200k should get you a mansion there, you could also have enough money left over to not have to work so you could lounge by the pool all day soaking up the sun.

3-4 bed detached in Cheshire? Not anywhere nice that's for sure.

Cross the border into Staffordshire Moorlands and you'll be able to.

More to the point, how are you selling a house in West London but only getting £150-200k?

It must be a cardboard box somewhere in good old 'Ayes lol

Cheshire sounds nice, lots of hollyoaks birds live there haha but tis still the grim north. Nothing is like Landannn!

Outskirts of Warrington, but I expect your budget will be limiting there. In Nantwich where we live, that budget would get you a nice two bed terraced or a 'needs work' semi detached. Maybe Lancashire would be cheaper, Greater Manchester or Merseyside areas.

This a lie btw. There is no such thing as sun in Manchester.

As already said: 200K is pushing it for 3/4 bed detached. Do you and the sons drive - your other criteria are wholly dependent on how you plan to get around as public transport links vary hugely here. Manchester is easier to get to than Liverpool from most of the county and likely a better prospect for jobs too.
