MP Gaming -- would you cheat if you could?

Nope.
The only time ive used cheats as such, was in a private clan server, when it was just clan members and in COD1 iirc they changed some of the server settings, so you could fly over walls etc
Was fun for the simple reason everyone was taking the P word on comms.

It was rife and i thought well, if you cant beat 'em ...
Anyway, it was an eye opener just to see the how easy to use these aimbots, wallhacks etc were.
I only used them for a few hours one night, and it was cheap with no satisfaction tbh.
I never really played CS again after that though, i could not un-see what i had experienced and it was never the same game again.
cheats ruin games.

Never. I wouldn't do it in SP either.
If you get caught you'll get blasted by anyone you've played with and they wont trust you any more.
If you don't get caught what do you get? Success based on a lie. Maybe some people get off on it, but I just can't see how it would make me happy. If anything it would just reinforce my own knowledge that I'm worse than I should be.

Nope. If you're seriously asking yourself if you should do it or not, what's the point in playing?
To me, it's not much different than having a program which completely plays for you. Just think, you could rack up those huge kill counts without actually being at your pc. You can be a gaming god while sitting on your fat backside watching TV. Wooo! So much fun!

No offence to OP but crap question. Some questions pretty much predict/guarantee what kind of answer you will get and asking if people would cheat in an online game is like like asking them if they are tossers tbh 90% will say no 5% will say yes but with some added disclaimer.
If you want truth you need to either frame your questions that will elicit honesty rather than what you want to hear.
Things *dont* exist until you become aware of them. Theres an entire subculture of "cheating" that is a world apart from your average gamer.
Its part of being human unfortunately - its a "condition" that imo affects all areas where competition is involved.

your answer is based on an assumption on what an aimbot does and that no other player is using their own tools in the game. If you believe that then well done for staying "innocent minded."
Theres certainly plenty of challenge.
Its a simplistic response to a complex question. An understandable response i suppose though.
But sure it gives an advantage
+1 theres a skill in being skilled in the hack - if that makes any sense. the same with anything. Example everyone could have the hack but some would be more skilled than others, meaning even if everyone did have hacks there would be people who score better than others due to a higher skill.
I couldn't see an aimbot being as simple as loading into a game and they sit back and watch it do all the work for them - I think even thats a bit to lame for the people who hack lol.

dont be obtuse. there's no challange involved in using an aimbot. there's not even room for discussion. The only people who wouldnt clean up with an aimbot are the sort of people who shouldnt be playing the game full stop, for everybody else - no challange.
im not even going to go into the advantages of other hacks, such a silly reponse
..besides, lets get one thing straight. the question was "Would you boot it up and start pwning the lot of them totally, or say to your mate 'thanks but no thanks'"

Absolutely not, what would be the point in doing so, not only would I be ruining the game for myself but others as well.
how about we add to the question.
say your in a game, and there is a blatent cheater using the same thing described by the OP,ruining it for everyone else, people are clearly getting annoyed by it.
if you could, would you level the playing field and turn on yours, purely to go after this hacker, ignoring the others?

Right dude no offence when its something you know a lot about e.g. plasma screens etc then cool ok i'll accept your point because you have a fair amount of knowledge about them.
But unless youve actually looked into cheats, know exactly what they do (able to edit and write your own code), what the environment is, existed in that community then your opinion is meaningless. You have no idea what they do.
But hey if it makes your world feel better then by all means continue with your phenomenally simplistic outlook on it. Your belief system must be correct right because you know best.......lol
