iPods are massively overrated imo, they always seem to have a niggling issue or just break outright. iTunes is a piece of crap too.
I dont know why I bought one in the first place, serious lapse of judgement on my part.

They're fine, everyone just loves to hate on Apple. The lack of functionality is a shame but they have other advantages and the competition is poor, the Classic being completely unchallenged.

seems pretty decent competition to me.

Not enough people love hating on apple.

Trekstor I beat cebrax 256mb
Canyon 512mb
Sony Ericsson K750i with 4gb MS pro duo.

Hopefully this week will be getting a Nokia N97 32gb. Seems pointless imo to buy a decent mp3 now if you got a phone like that. It has a 3.5mm plug for my Sennheiser HD555's too

Have you looked at Cowon? Some of the best looking MP3 players ever, I had an old one years ago and while it wasn't nice looking the sound quality was superb and 35 hours battery life using a 20Gb HDD was amazing.

If you want a Flash based player, check out the Cowon S9, sound quality is impeccable!
best mp3 player I've owned, ofcourse doesn't sound as good without some decent IEM's or Phones.

I'm waiting for the Cowon S9 32GB to go down in price! At the moment I'm using a Cowon D2 and iPhone for music, depending where I am and what I'm doing.

Got a Cowon D2 and it's fantastic; would have upgraded to the S9 already, but since I started driving my MP3 player use has dropped dramatically; can't really justify the money for the S9 right now.

Those Cowons do look very nice. Wanted the S9 for a fair while now but I need at least 32GB and the price tag is just unjustifiable for me atm. Wish it wasnt =]

I use a cowon D2 via a caffine ultra amp and ultrasone hfi780
looking at a sony x series or maybe zune hd later in the year

Only that you can't sign into the Zune marketplace. You can even set the radio to EU.

Other than that it all works fine. For podcast subscriptions, you can manually add the URLs or click on the Zune podcast button if it's on the site (like the BBC).
