MSI Afterburner Beta 10-FPS limiter in

in afterburners on screen menu, scroll to the more button at the bottom, itll open up the riva tuner stats menu, click on the wrench option at top right. Btw, tried it with kharg, no stuttering. Just a bit of tearing.

Cheers for that, works like a charm :D. I just saw the screenshot and it looked like the settings page for Afterburner and not the rivatuner one :D
 
Yep, took me a minute or two to twig it as well. Very handy tool, liking the cooler running gpu's and the lower fan noise. And the game is still running smooth, i can live with the slight tearing.

Yea, my 470 doesnt even hit 50c while playing now. Nice 'n smooth :cool:
 
Reference cooled or better factory cooler/aftermarket? Two reference gigabyte oc models here with stock coolers.
 
Havent tested yet guys,does this mean Vsync can be disabled now and there will only be minimum tearing with 60FPS etc?

Yep, never used vsync myself. The tearing is ever so slight in bf3. 60fps limit set, previoiusly i averaged 90fps in bf3 on the settings i use. But gpu temps were at 70c with a custom fan profile. Now hitting about 60c which is a lot quieter as well.
 
Absolutely great in BF3.

Game was choppy before, set FPS limit to 60 and now it's perfect, GPU temps have decreased 10c per GPU making them much quieter too. Still tearing but no way near as bad.
 
urgh, I can't stand tearing at all so this frame rate limiter is pretty decent for skyrim but other than that i prefer VSYNC+TB
