MSI Afterburner v4.2.0 Released

On the desktop, in AB, you can only modify the second gpu settings if ulps is disabled.

Or run two instances of GPUz and check, if one of them doesn't show activity, ulps is still enabled.

In AB, when i switch to the second card, its showing as 0s for the core Mhz and the Memory Mhz, but i can move the power limit slider, and the core clock one for it.

GPU Z shows both cards as this, card 1 on the left, 2 right :-

Also weirdly, it shows my drivers as being the 15.8s, 15.300.1025.1001, where as AB shows as me being on 15.1.1 Crimsons, 9.14.10.01162.

Good news-ulps is disabled.

Bad news-it's still ****ed.:p

Did you clean install new AB or did you keep your settings from previous AB?

If you kept them, close(shutdown not minimise) AB, delete the 'profiles' folder>reboot and AB will create a clean profiles folder, and see if you fare any better.

I did just update at first, but then i properly removed from Programs and Features, and deleted the folders from the Program Files folder that were left behind, before re-installing it.

I havn't reinstalled AB, since i popped the Crimson Hotfixes on though.

Download GPU Tweak and change the 2D profile to match the 3D clocks, that should resolve the issue you've mentioned. Or you can roll back to 15.7.1 which i know does not have the fluctuation issue, I'm using that driver at the moment. We're investigating the clock issue btw, so it should get resolved in a future driver update.

Yeah i might go back to the 15.9.1 BETAs, as they are fine also. :)

Ive just re-ticked the Disable ULPS is Afterburner again, and done the re-boot.

Now my second card is running single blue LED, and in Afterburner now when i switch to my second card, it shows as 300/500, instead of 0, and also GPUZ is now showing up the core/clock, and the fan RPMs in the sensors tab, so going to try my profile again now :p

EDIT: Still the same, im just going to roll back.

EDIT2: Back on the 15.9.1 BETAs, and clocks locking fine again, will wait for fix.

Hang on, are we now saying that the 15.11 BETAs (pre-crimson), and 15.10s also have this issue? (And from Matt's post everything after the 15.7.1s)
I'm o nthe 15.10s and was going to leave the Crimson drivers until they're less of a buggy mess, but I was thinking of going to the 15.11 BETAs.

I've been playing a lot of Dota 2 (and other non taxing games recently) so if my clocks weren't maxed I assumed it was powerplay or whatever downclocking because I was hitting the fps limit.

Is there an easy way to test if you're getting the issue?

Also is this just Fury X/Pro/Nano that are affected?

Use Trixxx for disabling/enabling ULPS, it's quicker and disables ULPS for all GPU's. If you want to do it via Afterburner, you need to disable CrossFire, then select each GPU in Afterburner via the settings tab then ticking disabling ULPS, restarting, then repeating the process for each additional GPU.

Didn't know that, thanks :)

I'll just stick to the 15.9.1 BETAs for now though, sick of fannying on :p
