** MSI EASTER EGG HUNT - WIN A MSI SandyBridge xxxx-GD80 **

Not submitting my found eggs until mods give us a definite answer on if we can check if our links we (in some cases) spent hours looking for, are legit. I have found 5 atm, not willing to risk it since closing date is 2 weeks away.
 
So some people posted fake eggs...?

Can you make them count still even if they were fake seeing as we did find them? Im not too bothered as long as you tell me whether my answers are valid before the competition ends so I can resubmit.

ALL links are the same as I have just been over and checked. 7 were planted.

ANY that have been quoted (ie in quotes) from someone are not correct. Unfortunately I cannot prevent people from quoting them so if they are quoted, look again!

not worried about quoted eggs but with people editing their own posts

ie someone who posted about msi last week goes back and adds an egg to his post

Same thing I'm worried about, would also like to know if more eggs = more chance of winning or if people who found 6/7 eggs have the same chance as ppl who found 5.
 
Blimey people, just READ the competition post, 5 eggs qualify for entry into a random prize draw. Does not matter if you find 5,6 or 7.
 
Regarding fake eggs, I believe the dons can see what were changed in post edits? I don't know if that's possible in the version of VB OcUK is using though.

If not, I guess its a case of looking at the 'last edited' line, combined with checking the posts people submit as answers. I doubt anyone would submit random threads and posts as answers knowing that wouldn't let them win, and it should be fairly easy to assume that if several people give the same wrong answer, and that post has been edited recently, someone may have done something similar?

its not that they gain eggs incorrectly, thats easy to rule out for the dons, its weather they sabotage others, confusing us into submitting fake eggs giving themselves a greater chance
 
The dons/ScottiB know where the real eggs are. If a lot of entries turn up with incorrect posts, don't you think the owners of those posts are going to be looked at very closely? Do you think it's likely they'll stay in the competition?
