Hi there

Right guys, we have secured the following, 150pc of GX740, 200pc of GT640 and we have the first batch of GX660's coming into the UK (50pc). Now your thinking thats a lot well from our past sales we sold 20pc of GX740 in less than 48hrs, yes 20pc went that quick. The reason is because equivalent specification laptops tend to cost £400-£500 as MSI are actually loosing approx £400 a unit on these as its a worldwide promotion they are doing.

This is the last we shall see of the GX740 and GT640, they will continue to run with just the GX660 for flagship gaming model which means the awsome GX740 will be nomore as will the incredible processing power blu-ray enabled GT640, so these will sell out fast, be quick:-

The complex and interconnected elements that comprise excellent sound were painstakingly identified one by one to ascertain how to systematically develop the proper notebook technologies. After undergoing a very long process of cooperative development, Dynaudio and MSI have come up with the GX660. The four directions used to develop Dynaudio Premium Sound Technology are summarized below. For serious gamers who demand extreme audio performance, the GX660 is the best and only choice!

In the past, limited space on notebooks meant speaker position was always considered last, which resulted in muddled sound in notebook speakers. Because of this, speaker position was considered during the initial stages of the GX660's development to facilitate optimum audio performance and to avoid sacrificing audio quality for incorrect speaker placement.

These are incredible gaming machines and the built in speakers on the GX660 is something else for a laptop. :)

Christmas already?

Nice laptops though :)

Yes when it comes to getting one of these. Basically if you don't buy now and miss out on the quantities arriving then you won't get one in time for Christmas. The GX740 were getting the last 100pc then this model will be no more. The GT640 is a one off deal, once sold all will be gone. The GX660 which is the latest model, numbers are seriously limited, hence the sooner you order the more likely you will be to get one before XMAS.

Which one is the best spec of these please?

Fancy treating myself to a new gaming machine (Laptop only).

The GX740 and GX660 are both more or less identical and are incredibly powerful machines suited to gaming. Both are I5 processors and both have 5870 graphics cards. So its basically down to whether you want a 15" or 17" laptop, for the larger screen GX740 wins it. But the GX660 has got better speakers and higher resolution. The GX740 is 1680z1050 and GX660 is 1920x1080. :)

The GT640 is very special in its own right as its an I7 Processor with 8 threads, so hugely powerful processing power, it also has a Blu-Ray player and NVIDIA GTS 250M Graphics.

All of these are incredible value and we suspect all of the allocated stock we have incoming will sell probably as quickly as 2 weeks.

The last lot of GX740's we got in only lasted 48hrs and that was 20 units. Hence were say get them ordered now to prevent miss out on getting one for XMAS.

You our forums members get first dibs, next week we shall be e-shotting our customer base with these offers.

I've got to agree with Gibbo, the GX660 looks like the most balanced spec of them all. Shame about the lack of BLu-Ray on that glorious screen though!!!

Thanks for that, hopefully you will have some left on Tuesday as im hoping for a bonus...

Yes, but can you fry an egg on one? :p

Not my bag personally (got bored of 3KG+ laptops very quickly after taking one plus DSLR and lenses on holiday), but if you're not going to travel much with them then they certainly look the part.

MSI X400 and X600 are the ideal ones for travelling, super thin and super-low weight.

Though we don't have any as they sell out in an instant.

We are expecting some X600's soon but again the stock won't last 24hrs when it arrives and MSI can never supply enough.

I might be being silly here, but i assume the first batch sold out as when i click on the link it says pre-order?

Or does that mean you havent had the stock in at all yet? If so, when will they be in for purchase?

In particular the 660 or 740 models.

Thanks,

Hi there

So far we've sold 31 units on pre-order, 20 arriving towards end of next week and 20 the following week and hopefully 100-200units for mid November for the XMAS rush and we expect to be selling 100+ units per week.

Thanks for the quick reply. Not long for me to try and twist the Mrs arm over one of these then.
