Thought id make this thread for those of us that went and got that 670 card for 161 quid hehe.

So mines arrived. Was using the live tracker thing it said he was on 4th delivery and i was 7th then knock at the door and low and behold it was posty with the card. :)

So had a peek in the box and found my harribos and a asus/ocuk booklet thing and the splinter cell game leaflet and the card.

Havent taken the card out really just inspected it for damage then put it back in its sleeve for now incase for some reason i need to send it back for a better deal ocuk have tho unlikley. Will probs install the card tonight or tomorrow cos im still recovering from a few things like hospital and stuff.

So heres a pic if its of interest to anyone.

Anyone else get theirs yet and had a peek or installed it yet?

Well I just installed it for my brother (it only just fits in his Antec case, had to move hard drives out the way :)).

He ran around a bit in Skyrim near the swamps. Looking on hardware monitor afterwards the card had boosted to 1058MHz with temp 50°. Although Skyrim with no mods at 1680x1050 is probably a cake walk for this card. I'll check the boost clocks again later after he has played with it more.

Nabbed two and just gave each a quick overclock test (while digesting Haribo :D). Looks like they max at 1280 mhz core with one doing +500 mhz memory and the other doing +600 mhz. Time to sli up in time for Saints Row IV!

do you mind me asking what programs you were using to test these? ive never tried to OC a card before.

i was using Heaven bench 4.0 on max settings and couldn't get more than +90mhz on gpu clock offset and +75mhz on the memory without it crashing.

Can i ask out of interest what the asic quality on both cards is ( checking with gpuz) ?

I have opened a webnote with OCUK stating my concerns. See what they say. For £40 less I could have actually possibly got the same card which would clock better! I can't believe the standard non OC versions are clocking at 1200MHZ when mine won't peak above 1100MHZ. Crazy. Something needs to be done.

Sorry guys, but lol at all these posts. I said pass at all these 6** series cards. I'm waiting for what AMD are bringing and also Nv next move before upgrading again.

Indeed. I could live with someone getting a better clocking card if they have paid the same money.

To sell these "overclocked" editions at £200 with "zomg crazy pre-order prices,BUY NOW, PRICES WILL GO UP" only to sell what seems to be exactly the same card 2 weeks later for £40 less is a **** take.

I've learnt my lesson not to fall for the same mistake again. Seriously considering not ordering from OCUK again. Feel conned.

It is a shame as i have been ordering from overclockers for years. I will continue to use them if they put things right but i submitted a webnote at midday today with regards to this issue and i have had no response yet :(. Generally they have been good at putting things right in the past.

I was just about to order a new power supply from here as well but not so sure anymore.

They are still to reply to my webnote as well. Maybe they are lost for words...

I really hope there's a logical answer to all of this and that we get sorted out properly.

Two weeks ago £199 was a fantastic deal for 670. Last week £189 for the ASUS was even better, and this week's £161 was just silly. All three were very exceptional deals at the time. Nobody forced you to buy, but you should learn never to believe what a shady salesman says:D.

I was tempted by all three deals but hesitated and today purchased a new camera lens instead. Good lenses hold their value much better than graphics cards, which depreciate faster than Fukushima land values.

Be happy that you got a £280 card for £199. You can always flash the BIOS to the non-oc version if you think they are better value:D.

I just run an intensive game while messing with afterburner when being quick. In this case it was Metro Last Light maxed out. Nothing special but like I said something quick to mess with.

Away from the PC atm but one was about 85 and the other 75 I think.

Why bother with a webnote? Just give them a call. That's what I would've done and have done in the past. OCUK are very good about sorting issues out. That's the only reason why I continue to order from them. I find if you want something done right you have to call. Hope you guys get your issues sorted.

Right, I've got GPU-Z running now with FSX running. On the sensors tab my GPU Core Clock is showing 1188MHZ. Memory clock 1502MHZ and temps around 50 degrees. Is this okay now? Was I looking at the wrong figures?

Is my card overclocking okay afterall?
