** MSI Now Providing 3 Year Warranty In The UK **

Cant speak very highly of my Msi x58m I had either it whined when under load and the design of the chipset heat sink was poor and had to be replaced. But I am sure they have improved recently if they are confident enough to increase the warranty.

i wouldnt speak very highly about that board either if i'm totally honest. I have one myself so i know they arent terrible but they are basic.

They were also pretty much the last boards that we made before we introduced the Military Class standard, which is much more than just a marketing term.

In answer to Locky, please, read some recent reviews, you'll see that there is now no doubting that our motherboard quality can rival any competitor. Our MB team have been actively taking cues from the success of the VGA range.

and in response to Cybercrow, please contact OcUK first & foremost, our RMA centre provide priority service to our reseller partners so their RMA turnaround should be fast & efficient.

While I applaud the move to 3 year warranty the NL service centre is a turnoff, due to the increased postage cost and time involved. I appreciate that MSi isn't the only manufacturer with a non-UK RMA centre but it definitely influences my purchase decisions.

I bought one of the GTX 580 OCs that had the non overclocked VBIOS, so had to get an updated BIOS online (from a volunteer moderator on their site) only to have to increase the power a few months later as it couldn't handle newer titles like BF3. Unfortunately I find out that if I want an updated BIOS now I have to buy a program to create it. So I'm stuck with using MSI Afterburner or forking out more money to get what I thought I'd paid for originally.

This is my only experience of MSi so I may just have been unlucky as clearly others have had positive results from their kit but it has knocked my confidence in them as this was at the time their top of the range graphics card.

Send me over and I will be the judge of that :D

Just hope to god you don't have to return anything to them, make you jump through circles, and still get nowhere.

nice to know the products are covered, I've had a few msi products without issue - would hate it if what dokko says is true, I can't stand that, seenheiser and recently logitech (used to be amazing) have gone that way, won't be buying from them anytime soon.

corsair (phone them, email support is naff) have had the best customer experience and turn around time i've come across so far

That's because MSI don't normally deal directly with RMAs unless it's a laptop.

You should be returning motherboards, graphics cards etc. to the retailer.

Well me p67 GD-65 has gone back in to Ocuk, Just hope they don't send out some B-grade replacement or is it down to MSI to send a replacement?
I only ask as if its Ocuk they've only got a b-grade in stock.
Plain on selling the board when it comes back as ive just bought a ASRock Z77 Pro4 micro atx an its way better than my old blown board.
Wouldn't of minded but i only bought it last june!
Deffo last MSI board il buy an no it wasn't Oc'd.

Changed my mind i would buy MSI product again, 3 year warranty id be stupid not to!

great stuff :) recently all I've seen is companies reduce their warranties, so this is great news and i shall certainly be buying MSI when it comes to a new mobo/gpu in the future.
