MSI to offer 55% launch-day discount on P55 motherboards

The MSI boards are already on the website at the price they will be after the promo has ended.

Look for the boards not marked as *promo*.
 
Chaps, if I've got an email conf and my order status says 'in warehouse queue' does that mean I definitely got one earlier? Would appreciate confirmation on that

We are still downloading orders as it was a bit mad for a few minutes with a LOT of people ordering, we sold out of the GD80 in a couple of minutes.

If you got in on the first wave there should be no reason why you will not get a board.

The second wave I will stress now is first come first served and they will sell out VERY quickly as people are expecting the launch at 2:00.

it's safe to say we've definitely got one. (i think :p)

Edit: Just seen above post, im assuming if for some reason some people didn't get a bored but have order confirmation etc. then they will be allocated a board from the 2nd wave?

Give me 30 mins guys and I will be able to say one way or another if everyone who got an order in earlier has stock allocated. :)

Sorry for leaving everyone hanging but you have no idea how mad these two boards sales are.
 
Wahey, hoping to get in there at 2pm. Is it right that the gd65's 1x pci-e slots are disabled if the 4x one is used? I think I read this somewhere but not sure where. Does this apply on the gd80?

I presume the gd80 is worth getting just for the additional jmicron controller, especially at these prices.
 
Anyone know where you have to send msi boards for an rma ? do they have a european rma center or is it usa ?

edit: nevermind looks like this deal is sold out everywhere already

Just out of interest Yewen, when you guys say that the MSI boards may not clock very well, do you mean that they literally won't clock, or that the uber enthusiast who wants to be pushing 4.5ghz plus won't be happy with them? For an everyday clocker who would take 3.5-4ghz will they be OK?
 
Will the money have been taken from our cards even if we end up missing out with our first order? Hope not cos won't have enough left to try and get one later. Got everything crossed right now, will you be cancelling any unsuccessful orders automatically?
