MSI to offer 55% launch-day discount on P55 motherboards

which heatsink mounting do these boards take? the i7 fitting or 775? Found a post that saying some boards were doing one some another.. might be a stupid question, but I'm really really hoping 775?
 
I'll be getting my CPU and memory (and cooler, might be some available by then!) next month, gonna be reinstalling Windows 7 when i get my retail disc so might as well wait till then and start afresh.

Got both of these in my basket now but what would you recomend for cooling? Can't see many LGA1156 options out there yet.
 
The Zalman is ok, get the quiet not the extreme and wack a Akasa Apache fan on it.

You can get the extreme but its extra cash for not much gain, especially when the Apache is a better fan.

What I used to do all my clocking for 4.00GHz on all the boards. :)

Freezer is a good little cooler, the EK Supreme waterblocks in stock also support 1156 for the record. :)

I'll go for the £65 msi deal if possible. The baord won't be overclocked, so the cheapest the better I suppose !

You have to overclock it mate, 750 to 3.2GHz is completely effortless and takes about 30 seconds!

Lol, I hate to think of the number of people who are waiting to get hold of one of these; there must be a good few in this thread alone, plus the lurkers, plus all those who put in orders and didn't get one of the earlier batch...

Just for the record, I think that MSI are evil and have something against F5 keys!
