MSI to release GeForce 9600 GT with 2GB memory

So its fairly safe to say this is a Vista only card....

its x64 only if you want any decent ammount of system RAM left (and if you feel you need 2Gb of graphics memory, you will definately want lots of RAM), and seen as x64 XP isnt really widely used, or made any more, this card is clearly aimed at Vista x64 users....

Id like to think the users of x64 Vista with large ammounts of RAM are clever enough to not buy this card.... but MSI obviously think your all dumb!

i thought dedicated ram on the gfx card wouldnt use ram from the mobo. can someone fill me in?

all memory is addressed. wether this memory is on the mobo, on the graphics card, on the sound card, or any other devise it needs to be alocated an address within the OS to allow it to be used.

In simple terms, 32bit OS's can only address a maximum of 4GB of memory, regardless of which component its on.

edit: nevermind. Should've read all the posts.
