MSI's X570 Tomahawk May Become Go-To OC Board??

1) I disabled the logo display
2) I *think* I disabled the mem test. I know there isn't one so dunno if it just doesn't happen or I turned it off.
3) I have a legacy Blu-ray/DVD burner, that the board waited for before proceeding, which took a good couple of seconds. I haven't needed it for ages, so I just unplugged the power lead.

What boot-up time do you see in task manager ?
Can you disable the memory test? - is there one even?

@slipd There is no option to do a memory test....bad memory by me !

Also, if you do any changes to the bios, the first time powering up takes longer, on mine it reports 15.2 seconds. Subsequently direct power ups report 9.9Secs

Ha, no worries! I've got it down to 12.6 seconds now... by disabling iQUE for my keyboard (just saved my lighting profile to the keyboards mem) and Synapse - for my mouse.

Quite happy with that tbh.

Dont think i would go MSI again my x570 gaming plus just decided to not boot last week showning cpu light tested cpu fine and ram and there is so many issues online with the same problem.

Much better.

Although, does it really matter as long as it fast when actually using Windows and not as slow as when we had mechanical drives.

Out of interest, can you guys with a 5700X3D use the Kombo strike feature in bios?
My limited understanding is that Kombo strike was the precursor to PBO2 ? I'm using PBO2 set to -30 and all appears stable. On stress test, Max power is around 87W, temps dropped (max 67), and getting 4050Mhz on all cores.

Using Komo strike level 3 (-30) and is also stable at all core 4550Mhz.

5700X3D is such a bargain compared to my 5800X3D. :( (still glad i got it though)

Did you get the option to use Kombo strike though or is it just for the 5800X3D?

@freddie64

Just checked, there is a Kombo Strike option as well as the PBO option, i assume PBO is just a more refined version of Kombo ?
Thanks for confirming, as i said, was just curious.

I thought MSI released kombo strike and no other board manufacturers had anything like it so someone came up with PBO2 that did the same thing on any motherboard.
(or it could have been the other way round)
