Multi GPU setups? Who has them, post what you got up.

no offence, but isn't that the most retarded setup ever?

sounds stupid and a waste of money...unless its a folding rig but still

also you can't mix Nv GPUs o_O unless they are the same chip ( I don't think the GTX470 is I think its a little different)

unless they changed that

Custom fan profile I use. It's pretty aggressive but it keeps the temps low and stops speed throttling due to heat in intensive apps/games.

The bottom one is fine, it's just the top hits 85c in no time, once overclocked that is.

I really don't want to think how 2 gtx480 behave with the same slot layout. :p

Thanks for info, good to know. Used to fan never going above 30% and my HDD being the loudest thing in the rig so maybe wont bother as my P6T SE motherboard would have them sandwiched up like that :(

GTX260 SLI is alright... still plays all the latest games here with silly high fps at max settings.
Same here, using sli GTX 275's, worked out cheaper than a single 5870, besides im not that fussed about dx11 features.

i have a 5970 and 5850 in Crossfire x

Here is a pic of my cards

I see a HUGE jump going from a 5970 to tri-fire within Eyefinity.

im running i7 920 @ 2.93 with 280GTX SLI SOC editions

comfortably run the following: 2560x1600

TF2:
all High + Very High where it can
16AF
16AA

Normally get 95-120FPS on a 32 man server on non sli i get 55-60FPS

Prototype:
all very high
Full AA (forgot number)
get 90FPS most of the time

Well

the 5970 gives around 37K in Vantage on GPU score.

add my extra 5850 and it jumps to 42k...

also In AVP Max settings i get 66.1Fps on tri-fire and 48fps on just the 5870

When you play games at eyefinity it all changed :D

Some EyeFinity Results at a visual quality that I find acceptable on near on £1500 worth of kit for Eyefinity use (3x1080p monitors + 3x5870 GPus), If I go to lowest settings I still get crap fps with tri-fire, ... Stick to a single monitor though and it rocks!

Resolution: 6048 x 1080
Texture Quality: 2
Shadow Quality: 3
Anisotropic Filtering: 16
SSAO: ON
Vertical Sync: OFF
DX11 Tessellation: ON
DX11 Advanced Shadows: ON
DX11 MSAA Samples: 1

5870 @ 1000/1300
Average FPS: 28.7

5970 @ 950/1200
Average FPS: 42.3

5870 @ 1000/1300 + 5970 @ 950/1200
Average FPS: 19.8

If I wanted to play 3DMark then probably yes :)

They did

If you look at his sig...

Perv :p

Cooler and less power than the 4 GTX295s I had before. But harder to fit in the case.

I have a pair of watercooled 480's (920c/1100m). Which run everything completely maxed on my Dell 3008.

Also, schooling all the tri-fire setup in the ATI optimised AvP benchmark thread was a bruciebonus. :p
