I have gone to the dark side and got a GTX 480! Planning to add another soon enough and then watercool them both.

They did
Cooler and less power than the 4 GTX295s I had before. But harder to fit in the case.
Currently running a couple of GTX 285's in SLi.
Want to upgrade, but I'm looking for a single GPU solution that will out perform my current setup by a fair margin.
Not really sure what my options are @ present.
I run a 5970 & 5870 in crossfire. CPU is i& @ 4ghz.
I had to watercool my gpus because if you have to have them in pci-e slots next to each other then run hot...very hot.
With my cooling. A triple and double rad in same loop I get temps underload of about 40deg.
Performance wise its a must.. Amazing performance. An example is..
BC2 @ 1920 x 1200 single 5970 = about 140fps
BC2 @ 1920 x 1200 both cards = about 200fps
BC2 @ 5760 x 1200 single 5970 = about 60fps
BC2 @ 5760 x 1200 both cards = about 100fps

what settings are you running for those fps?
i'm getting about 40-60 in EF with 5970+5870, everything maxed apart from AA (using 2x)

Great scaling from 2xGPU to 3xGPU for BC2 with Eyefinity ...... superscalar in fact!
