Just downloaded the single player demo. Really looking forward to this game, preordered it already.

i pld the single player.. its "ok". When u zoom aim the cursor moves so slowly tho takes a year to spin.. but thats always the disadvantage of playing FPS on consoles i spose. I'll defo give this a go tho and see what mplayer is like :)

Will get it downloaded this afternoon, then the problem is i'm away the next four days so won't be on to try it out!

Edit: Downloading now.. and may have an hour or so this evening! :D

Just had a quick blast.

Graphically its much better than the first multiplayer. Love the map with its different levels.

My only grumble is this. I never understood why the cover system in GRAW1 never made it into the multiplayer and I'm disappointed again it hasn't made it this time.

After playing GoW and Rainbow 6 Vegas, the game feels strange without it.

I'm glad there wasn't the cover in the MP of GRAW, it would get in the way especially as I play in first person view.

I guess really I'm not a fan of cover at all, in GoW it was truely horrendous. You'ld stick to things without intending and have to press the right button to get off, or you'ld roll to another bit of the cover. One of the many playability flaws I found with GoW!

Ah good, think my download of the GRAW2 MP is finished!

Have you played Las Vegas? The cover system in that is pretty much spot on.

I have always thought this too. The cover system in Vegas is the way cover should be. The one in GoW is way to clunky. Too many button presses to do things, one to stick one to release. Even if you want to climb over something it is Stick to it then climb. The only thing i wish the RSV cover had was the ability to swap sides easily like in GoW.

Anyway back on topic, i think i will kick this download off at lunchtime :)

Just given it a go. It's nice!

Graphics are better than the original, and I only use a normal telly - not HD. Textures are sharper, shadows are better, seems much more detailed though.

Night/Thermal vision is much better than it was in the GRAW2 single player game.

But having not played for a few months, i'm getting my arse whipped on it by the AI! The demo only has Campaign mode, and one map.

There were numerous times on GRAW that I wanted/needed the cover system, I had played through the single player and had found it very very useful, the best you got in MP was a lean function that was not as useful. Whilst not intending to buy it anyway, I think the cover feature may have had a slight swaying factor (that and all the other irritations in the game being removed). But I am positive now that I will not be buying this game.

I may download the mp demo and give you guys a game or 2. But TBH I am busy playing crackdown and hope to spend the next few days playing this with miss K.

I'm quite glad it hasnt got cover, R6 cover was about perfect but i'm happy to play a game without it again.

Will DL as soon as I get home to play some tonight.

What? Like me and Alrik? :D
Alrik's xbox blew up, (I assume it took him with it because he has not been online recently)

So its only you left :p

Seriously, not being able to run and throw grenades, run and shoot rockets(ok that might be challenging in real live), swim, climb small non-threatening picket fences, drop small distances. getting stuck on nothing, foliage (and lampposts) that were indestructible, etc

Oh not to mention grenades that whenever thrown always landed at my feet ;)
