Multiple IMs

I tend to use the separate clients because the multi-clients are generally lack most of the functionality of the full clients and while it's fine at first, it prevents drawing pictures of dicks on MSN which is just out of order.

First used ICQ in 97 or 98 then went to Windows Messenger a few years later.

Did have an AIM account but very rarely used it. Used mIRC for a good few years in around 2000-2004

These days its a little bit of MSN, email :o and zero facebook.

What complete and utter crap.
How the hell is means of communication, any at all like a source of information.

Troll post failed, find a new way to be an ********.

I wasn't trolling, I was just jesting with you. But you're new, and don't know the rules. I suggest you edit your post before a Don sends you on your holidays.

PS: Don't forget to take the stick out...

Sounds about right. I think Micro$oft started OS-bundling MSN with Windows ME in year 2000 then XP in 2001. Then like the flick of the lightswitch, I had upteen people sending me automated emails with MSN invites in a short space of time. The same happened with Facebook in 2007.

I'm on Linux now, So Pidgin for all

Same, Pidgin or Empathy. Both very capable, stable clients, so much better than the days spent using the ad ridden microsoft client.

I am interested in using IRC more though, i've used it for ironing out a few problems with my Arch installation and spent a bit spying on Anonymous with it but i've never got the chance to use it without an 'ulterior motive', you know just for a chat.

Ahh i miss ICQ. During my more hardcore gaming days i would have a few hundred people on that, everyone then moved to MSN for some reason, which was the suck so i found trillian to replace it while keeping my few remaining icq contacts...

Nowadays im still a bit fan of trillian, although i dont game so much so my friends list is basically about 20 real life friends and thats about it.

For gaming steams friends list is all you need

I only use steam now because you can send IM's directly in game, and if I don't have you on steam and I want to talk I will pick up the phone, simple
