Murderbot - AppleTV+

I just finished watching the first two episodes, really enjoyed them but I do wish they'd released the entire season in one go given the length of the episodes.

Unless they're releasing two per week I think I'll wait until the season is over before continuing.

Same thought the first 2 episodes were pretty funny. Cant wait for more.

Yes, i get this too. Think i have been spoilt with netflix tbh, with the release and you consume it when you want

(also have this with mobland)

Watched the first two episodes, it's pretty good. Some of the supporting cast is a bit meh, but they serve their purpose I guess.

Not to keep on waiting a week for a 30min episode though. I'll probably wait until it's finished.

The latest episode was barely over the 20 minute mark, I enjoyed it and there were a couple of laughs to be had, but I'm going to wait until the entire season is out as I mentioned earlier.

For barely over 20 minutes they pack quite a bit in to be fair - I've seen far too many 40+ minute episodes in shows lately which made worse use of the time.

May do the same. I do enjoy 30min shows but damn, this wasn’t even there.

Three episodes in and enjoying it (not as much as the audiobooks which are exceptional IMHO) but am annoyed at how short the episodes are.

30m, 25m, 23m!

Just getting into it and... roll credits.

Yeah that sucks, I don't mind drip fed series, but shows this short, the streamers should release it altogether or at least 3-4 episodes at a time per week like they did with Andor for example.

Kind of paradoxically they don't feel short in terms of content vs a lot of shows these days but at the same time you just start getting into it and the episode ends :s definitely should be longer - the latest episode is barely 20 minutes of actual content once you remove the credits, intro and other preamble, etc.

Pretty good show so far though.

About 18 min run time of actual show. They can absolutely **** off with that on a weekly release. Another possibly good show scrapped. Think it's actually closer to 15 mins.

The concept is fun but
Writing - meh
Production design / aesthetic - painfully generic and forgettable
Not sure if it’s the casting itself or the delivery but feel like the internal monologues could or should be funnier than they are.

Yeah, I'm out. Going to let the season conclude and then watch it. That episode felt well under 20mins.

You'll be pleased to hear this week's is .......

22 mins inc credits.
Going to be in single digits by the end of the season!

I know the source material is short (the first book, All Systems Red, is just over 3h long in audiobook format, IIRC) but that's why they hire writers when moving from book to screen!

I'm done, I like something you can get your teeth into but you barely get a taste of this and it's time for the credits

I turned it off before the first episode finished, it all seemed a bit too kiddy for me, and they really cast the wrong voice for the robot.
