if you know someone who owns a restaurant your likely to get them even cheaper.

we used to get 1kg of goujons for £2.30 ish (basically like chicken breast but with more fat, which you can cut off)

we also used to get a huge box of chicken legs for £5, i mean it must have been 10kg (including the bone). one of these boxes would fill the average fridge and your freezer most likely it was that big.

prices are about 5 years old, so could have risen by now.

Now that we've got a shed with a power hook up I'm seriously considering grabbing a cheap chest freezer off the bay and being one of those people with an extra freezer full of meaty goodness :D
 
Plump and juicy, not injected full of water, and generous portions. The beef is also succulent, as is their corn fed chicken, and their pork and gammon. In fact I've been genuinely impressed. It's almost on a par with Donald Russell, and to be honest for the price, it's better.

Freezing meat is awesome. I work at Tescos and the stuff that gets reduced, I knock down to about 90% off, so end up with about x5 packets of rump steak at 50p each, same with steak mince, lamb chops, pork and chicken breasts. Freezer is full and when it dips, I just buy more! Just defrosted a mincemeat that expired in Apr and it was delicious.
