+1 for cooked - and absolutely essential in a good fry up, even if it's grilled really.
One to impress the ladies in your lives...ideally use as many wild mushrooms as you can with button mushrooms for a little bulk - add dried too if you can - soak in hot water as per normal use - cut them into bite sized pieces and add to a pan with either double cream (unhealthy but yummy) or half fat creme fraiche (nearly as yummy) - heat gently to cook mushrooms, add pepper and nutneg, once cooked put in a pie dish and cover with shop bought puff pastry (almost no one makes it for themselves) and bake in the oven until the pastry is done - serve with green veg and saute potatoes - easy dish, little effort and always impresses.
