At that price you should be biting the seller's arm off. :D

Go for it. That is one serious bargain!

on a side note...I get my Mach 2 GT tomorrow..:D

Looking forward to your results. :D

they really that good?

One issue is I'm told the mach2s are quieter although I do think there may be some issues with my vapo anyway.

Its a chilly1 extreme whatever that means

Apparently the compressor in the Machs is quieter, though I've not heard a Vapo to compare it with personally. However if you're running r507 it's going to be loud due to having to run the fans at max to stop the compressor overheating.

An r507 Mach is not really going to be what your after if you want peace and quiet, though it would give you some excellent temps.

On a side note, remember that the better your cooling, the more likely you'll encounter the cold bug. ;)

I can live with fan noise, I understand it'll be a give & take thing, its the high pitched noise that sounds like someone with a drill in the basement I don't have that's bugging me now.

As for the coldbug I'm not against the idea of going through a few chips to find something that doesn't suffer with it.

The Chilly 1 head and regas really IS that good, your talking c£420 for the mod alone.

Going to have another go at clocking the 3700Claw and then move onto the X2 3800 however, my gigabyte board wont go over 210 no matter what! :(, so I need to get ANOTHER motherboard making a total of 4.:o

Bah my sig will be current one day when i get money

ooooooookay..

last night saw £425 going the way of mr chilly1 extreme r507 mach2 gt (god thats a mouthfull)..

What I need to know now is whats the best people have seen an X2 4400 (or I suppose 3800) running at and why oh why oh why does my mobo (dfi expert) just not want to get in bed with any ram?

Gskill HZ will run at 3.2v
Corsair 3500LL won't run 2 sticks, period... tried from 2.5v to 3.3v with one stick in then rebooting with 2 and nothing
Kingston bh5 won't run

Tom seems to think it might be the frozen memory controller? Anyone got more experience of this and is it better on newer X2s?

I'll be going back to intel at this rate, quite fancy a 5ghz Pentium D :D

my x2 does 3.1 under phase and is 2nd in custom pc benchys ;).

wanna swap lol.

All my mem controllers basically died, they couldnt cope with 2gb ram on a divider after a certain time under phase.

I can categorically rule out the mobo (i went through several).

I just think you need to test a few chips Matt. i emailed you too ;)

Tom

Heh intel could be a plan, or if you wait a few weeks Yonah could be deadly once a board is out. Then you can show me what i missed out on :(
