Mx100 running slow.

Hi, Just installed the 512GB version into my machine and installed windows 7 from usb ssd. (lighting quick). Loaded windows did a basic Benchmark from HDtune and was getting 440MB/s + and around 0.0ms. Random access I think 1MB / 64KB tests where around 490MB/s.

Ive installed the 180 odd windows updates and put BF4 back on my pc but now all of sudden the drives maximum speed (read) is 330 and its really erratic. Im talking 150 /200MB/s spikes and not the flat line it was on first install...:(

What could possibly be the problem.:confused:

it should be faster than that on intel sata3 ports,slightly slower on amd boards

try with intel rapid storage drivers installed if intel mb

About 6 weeks after Windows installation, Intel RST installed.

after mine had settled down, this is what I am now getting pretty much identical. I have not yet tried 8MB blocks size.
Just tried the gf's M4 on 8MB block too see...

Crucial M4 8MB Block size = Max 508MB/s Aerage 384MB/s
AT=0.118ms / BR=171.5MB/s

Edit remaining life on the M4 was 85% at the beginning of week now 83%... :s
