The temp had now drop further after using pc for 5 hours and cooling down overnight by turn off pc and today, I was out of blue the temp had slightly lower than yesterday! Brilliant stuff:

Day 1: mx4 idle are: 39, 37, 37, 36 and under load 74, 72, 73, 72
Day 2: mx4 idle are: 38, 36, 37, 35 and under load 72, 71, 71, 70

:) You all won't be disappointed, why not order now for your superb mx4

What the hell is "tinting" all about! On Arctics web site it doesnt have an application specifcally for the MX-4 so I was reading another one and it says to "tint" using a card and then apply a small amount in the centre, thats the first time i've ever heard of that method

just put a small sized pea in the centre and attached the air cooler as it will spread out itself. That's what I did and got excellent lower temp on my 4.3ghz around 72C max !!!

thats what i would suggest too

what vcore do you use for 4.3 on your core i7 bulldog?

is there much difference between what you set in bios and what cpuz reads?

Thanks I will do that but the cooler pipes are direct contact and it says somewhere on Arctics website that if this is the case then you should "tint" the cooler

I'll see what the coolers instructions say in regards to that, the kit should arrive today

Here is my 4.3ghz with new mx4 thermal paste:

Testing with my central heating on in my pc room, room temp 24C (bear in your mind, Fanin0 is a viper fan on air cooler and Fanin2/Fanin3 is a rear case fans!)

cpuz id here: http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1443188

Temp is pretty very good exspecially 4.3ghz with max temp of below 77C with very warm room with central heating on! 72C max if no central heating is on.

my vcore is 1.35v on the bios and in windows it 1.29v (under load) the motherboard only had five blue bright lights on with the rest is OFF (no green light) all thanks to my clever secret tweak in the bios setting. :)
