oh and one final comment if you can't fit your fortnightly shop for 2-3 people in the boot of a 5 then you are buying too much food or own some seriously big dogs! It is fine as a runaround for shopping.

The Mk1 MR2 is a bit better for touring with really because it has a boot in the rear of the car + the frunk (the bit where the engine would be on a normal car but of course the MR2 is mid engined). I am shocked Kitchster has not waxed lyrical about the delights of the frunk yet!

My frunk rocks! mattpc is correct, touring Germany with both cars, is was significantly easier in the 2 than the 5, but you can get customised bags for the boot of the 5 to take advantage of the space there is.
