MX5 tyres

Maybe in a car with power, in a lightweight low powered MX-5 then they're amazing. And as for it being a good thing, it is a good thing as I dont want to be going round a corner to be finding myself going sideways

You can get any RWD car going sideways regardless of how much power it has, i had my MX5 sideways more than once on the roads due to it being wet.

Yea I know you can, but it takes effort it doesnt just "happen". If it does then your car needs setting up properly! Driving normally, the car should remain in a straight line :p

TOYO T1R'S.....runs away

Ive noticed Toyo T1-Rs, despite being generally well received in a lot of cases, seem to attract a bit of a disapproving snigger on these forums. Have I missed something?

I fitted 4 of them to my MX5 NC in August and have been very happy with them, despite trying to be as critical of them as possible. Granted, I'm probably not as enthusiastic driver as most here, but I bought the car to have fun and even in the wet, the T1Rs haven't let me down yet.

What are the sidewalks like on the uniroyals? Are they actually any good?

I'm looking for some cheap tyres to throw on the Clio in case it's hoofing down with rain at Silverstone in feb - I really don't fancy destroying more PE2s which the last stocks seem to be hitting £140 a tyre.

I'm rarely going for blasts on the road now, too, so a slightly more mediocre tyre would be acceptable to save a few more pennies to replace the R888s after Silverstone.

Hankooks have arrived :)

Honda drivers seem to like the V12 Evo, Rainsport2 and PE2, they probably share similar handling characteristics with the Clio 1X2 range

Got the new tyres and alloys fitted yesterday, they look so much better than the aftermarkets it had on before.
