My 200mph budget build(now sponsored!!)

Im currently in the process of building a car that will do 200mph within the space of 1.7miles, with only a budget of £10,000

Just wondered if anyone would be interested in learning about it(got loads of pics etc)

What kind of power are you looking at?

From experience to be able to do that speed on a runway of that length and be able to stop in it you will need 650-700bhp.
 
Depends what car hes starting with i guess in terms of the power hes gonna need.

Is it some sort of space frame arrow shaped car ? :cool: Id like to know more!

Only to an extent, the coeffeicient of drag won't make that much difference, neither will the weight, just sheer power is needed.

Turbulance will play a large part on a car at high speeds. It's why cars such as the Buggati Veyron changes shape at a higher speed, to deflect wind a lot more effectively. Weight will make a huge difference at 150mph+ speeds. :)
