My 360 Controller has Broken...

does the 360 still use wireless when using the play and charge kit?? cos i know u can use it as a controller with the PC, so i assumed the date would just go through the cable.
And i am confused how it could be a battery issue since the wireless controller comes on
and everybody getting on about the grammar, most of you didnt even see it, yet are jumping on a comment cocopops made, maybe he just found it difficult, maybe he is over critical of grammar, i honestly dont know cos i didnt the the unedited post. So i think everybody needs to chill tbh

I've not heard of a play and charge controller working with the PC. I can be proven wrong though.

The play and charge kit carries no data whatsoever, it purely charges the battery pack.

Even when connected with the play and charge kit, the pad is still working wirelessly.

Only a wired 360 pad can work on a PC.

ahhhhhhhh ok then lol
i thought the play and charge kit let you hook up to your pc lol would have been a nice feature if it did though :D

Hmmm, just read this thread and had to make sure I wasn't back in GD. Despite my own feelings on the subject, can the grammar nazi's (of which I am one) not post unless they have something useful to add to the thread regarding the pad. I see enough petty arguing in GD without it spilling over into here as well.

Duly noted and I know I'm guilty of this. Sorry!

PS. Punch it in the ovaries and nuke it from orbit!

no one understands it apart from Da_Mic and I told him the exact same thing, he's a 100 times better than he was.

hehe careful coaching from nokkon and i almost sound clever now, :) n all fairness though i do talk carp anyway, and no amount of grammer makes my posts sound any better :P

as for the controller situation, send it back 2 MS, they are very gd with returns and customer service IMO

If they're anything like they are with mice, they'll send you round the houses with diagnostics for a while, and then just send you a new one. Didn't even ask for the original back. Just make sure you're polite when dealing with them, they'll be very patient back and just bend over backwards for you.

Unless you get the guy/girl whose fed up and wants out :D

I'm one of the most helpful people here I feel, No one is more helpful than DaveyD though.

So what help were you in your original post? None! All you did was criticize. Did you even see the original post? I admit it was a little broken and rushed but I was in a rush and tbh a little Oi! No swearing! that my £300 console was not working! I edited the post shortly after. Want it more simple than that? Here you go:

1) I switched on My XBOX360 like always with the controller. The console did not power on.
2) All of the quadrants on the joypad were on and the ring was blinking randomly.
3) I replaced the batteries and it was still the same.
4) I powered on the console with the power button and went through the procedure to connect extra wireless pads but that didnt work.
5) Nothing has been changed and the console has not been moved since i was last playing it.
6) I tried it again tonigh first switching on the console then the joypad and it worked for a short while.
7) After about 5 mins of the demo running i noticed that the quadrant on the console was flickering rapidly and all 4 quadrants on the joypad were on and it was blinking randomly.
8) I tried to turn off the console with the power button, the fans and the drive powered down but the quadrant just kept flickering and the power led just stayed on. The only way to get it to go off was to remove the PSU from the back of the console.

Simple enough for you?

The state of this country is going downhill all the time, really annoys me.

That is the most ridiculous argument that I have ever heard on a forum. Yes, the country is going to crap! But its because of people defrauding the dole, influx of asylum seekers, terrorists, kids thinking they can do what they want, bent politicians, bills going up 4 times that of inflation to name but a few. Its NOT because someone in a rushed state wanting a little help with a problem uses poor grammar on a Oi! No swearing! forum!

I called Microsoft they told me to try another joypad. Will be doing that tomorrow.

I said drop it, that goes for you as well Skyline. The thread will be closed quickly unless it stays on topic and the bitching disappears.

I just thought that I would let you know that it is the XBOX that is faulty not the pad :(

The console is powering up ok, but I am not getting any power led or joypad connected quadrant now at all. To the repare center it will go!
