My 9800X3D Jonsbo D41 build

How about if your main GPU is AMD? - Obviously W10/11 supports multiple drivers to be installed, but would the additional power draw be the same?
Also I'm guessing if CPU is Intel, then could use iGPU on that? (I'll be sticking with AMD CPU for the foreseeable, but good to know!)

Had considered something along those lines, but really hate the idea of running an HDMI cable out the back and back in!

I assume so, as the motherboards Front HDMI out is wired for the CPU's iGPU. It should not make a difference for make of GPU. Years ago there was something about AMD Crossfire with iGPU, but I don't think that exist anymore.

The power consumption is reasonably high, peaks @55W (idles at 28W) as well as added heat. All it is doing is running Wallpaper Engine, and usage spikes to 100% every ~10 seconds.

100% worth running an extra cable back out and in, IMHO.

Took apart an old EK radiator to use as a fan shroud for bottom in takes

that is an artifact of measuring SOC power I think.
iGPU idle vs off actual power use is so tiny its hard to measure. Would guess at below 4W. But it gets added with SOC for reporting. And maybe includes VRM power loss too?
CPU use, increased startup time and memory use of Adrenalin running on top might be more of a concern than idle igpu use.

With all the possible implications, it is just not worth it, I’ll just run the HDMI outside.

Kind of disappointing as the motherboard has a dead feature.

Nice. My 2K monitor isn't small but that's like two of mine side by side. There's 'wide screen' and then there's 5K WIDE screen!
"DQHD" Come on, now you're just making it up as you go along!
Can’t wait to finish work to install it

I had 2 27 inches on a monitor arm, was a hassle to level them straight all the time

I was very disappointed with the AF III. Tried about 5 units, 360 and 420. Pump is very loud. Decide to go with the EKWB Nucleus (despite the disgusting late behaviour of the company), and at 100% is dead quiet. Performing better too. Fans are just average, but don’t need more than 30% to tame the 7800x3D. May replace with Silent wings 4 later to match the rest of the fans. Had to drop the T30s as I wanted 140mm front fans (North XL) and can’t entertain the idea of mismatched fans.
I have no problem with mine, the pump is tamed by 20-30% PWM.

I do actually like Arctic P12 fans, I have used NF-F12s for the last 8 years and they are comparable.

Maybe adding a third fan, the bottom “radiator” will act as a simple gasket?

I have not installed any bottom intakes yet. But will install 3, that deciding on what fans to buy.

Would probably help but I guess the only way you'd know for sure is to make some smoke and see where it goes - something like this:
...but that's probably massively overthinking it (I have form :D ) and ultimately what's going to matter is his temps and how loud it is.
Having second thoughts about the shroud. It’s getting too close to the 2 slot gpu and i plan to buy a thick gpu in January.

The original case fan mounts are hardly sealed in the 1st place. Ghe rpm will be so low that noise is negligible.

We’ll see when I get new fans.

Small update:
Mounted AIO pump upside down, and new fans, still to be cable managed.

My stop gap card (7800XT) should be arriving later today.

Reused old IPS monitor:

so now the system is all set and been used for a bit, how do you find it?
my brother had the same case and it's now going begging. i was thinking about whacking a system in it.

he only ever had a 5700x3d and a 3070 in it so both relatively cool running.
you have a hot CPU and a GPU i know can warm up in some games so some feedback would be super

It's a decent case, a bit wobbly when all panels are off, but solid when fully assembled.

CPU temps can be toasty, as the top exhaust are quite restricted. It drops ~10c with the top panel off. I'm thinking of going air cooling and using the top as intakes, traditional positive air pressure.

GPU temps are great, never over 60c, with a very quiet fan curve. Expected with 3x120mm fans blowing straight at it.

One of the pongs that attach the front panel has snapped, which annoyed me. I am at the tinkering stage of building, so have been taking it off and on a lot, but is still very disappointing. YMMV

End of the day it is only a £60 case (without the screen), dirt cheap in my eyes and the quality shows. Is the screen worth +£60 premium? I don't know, but it was the gimmick that caught my eye, and I do still like it. But I would not normally considered a £60 case for the components I'm planning to put in it.

have you tried flipping the top fans, restricted for work better as intake for some reason

the one i have as the screen so... yes i would use it
I did not, actually pulled out the AF3 and slipped my old D15S on it, with 3x NF-F12 top exhaust. Much quieter without a pump humming away.

that case is unique... at first glance i thought it was another dual chamber case and i was like what is that big black thing in the front... oh wait that case looks narrow *penny drops*
It looks good, hope temps are good and it doesnt restrict airflow much -pro/cons i guess of saving desk space
Not that long ago, dual chambers were unique, but then all case manufactures realise it is a fool proof way to get easy airflow, providing the customer was willing to sacrifice desk space. Now they are everywhere
