Ill try to keep it detailed and honest.

The Antec 900 is a lot smaller then my Akasa62, so the Akasa wins in this area I think I spent half a day trying to set it up and run a few cable ties, the Akasa62 has no such issues and is a joy to work with you can easily hide any cables and excess in the bays, I did however find a very narrow small gap at the bottom of the Antec 900 to which I shoved many excess/cables in of course once its all setup its done. But if your forever upgrading/changing parts the Akasa wins.

Looks? No contest the Antec wins here the Plastic front is a lot thicker/higher quality and solid black Its steel and solid grills at the front, the rest is Steel panels/Plastic solid top. The Akasa had a terrible plastic £3.50p look but nice alu side panels.

Cooling: No contest again the Antec wins here unlike the Akasa which has a bottom notch and air vent lines I found air could barely get past that to cool the insides of the case my hdd temps were ok, but even to the touch now using the Antec the hdds are cool and not even warm like before. + the 8800GTX and other parts are definatly recieving a nice cool breeze which they werent before on the Akasa62.

Silence factor: The Antec wins here, for some specific reasons for one thing I replaced the 120mm fans with Zalman 120mm fans using the 7v transistor dongle, I cant stand bloo bright fans ! I have 2 fans on the front and thats all, no need to switch on the 200mm fan. The reason why its overall more silent is since on my Akasa I had an issue the front 120mm fan use to cause an vacuum like hum thru that plastic front! and would often rattle as well!

The Antec shows no such issues. Even with rubber grommets it wasnt solved on the Akasa62 I could solve it by removing the front panel though!. Also cos its more sturder and steel I find it dampens the noise on the Antec900. And I have more hdds/8800GTX in my Antec which I didnt in the eclipse62. Massive rubber feet on the Antec 900 dampen such vibrations/hums and issues over the Akasa62. Its just a case of airflow not being stuck between plastic/filters imo which was the issue with the Akasa62.

Features: Both about same ! Akasa 62 had the removable tray and filters were good and it was highly moddable as in u can remove the cages/bays which was excellent however the Antec 900 with its 200mm fan and proper front air flow and hdd Cage system to allow for 6 hdds and plenty more drives is impressive especially since they got 120mm fans on the front. The Antec has got some other nice features but overall I feel antec put more thought into there design/features.

Would I buy it again?

Yes cos its almost impossible for me to find a good case to replace the Akasa Eclipse62 ! and ive been looking at all the Li Lan cases and others and it seems to me finding a Perfect Case is next to impossible ;)

Having said that next week ill proberly find myself getting another case ;)

man you cpu cooler is mahoosive!

nice review, im very happy with my 900.

1 question, it came with a black rubber noise reduction thing, where does it go? lol

The akasa is the better case IMO.

And I have both sat in front of me.

Better build quality and space.

The lack of filters let the antec down and the cramped interior.

Thats the Tuniq Tower heatsink, nice and big and silent:)

Yes the case is cramped definatly compared to the Akasa Eclipse62, my 8800GTX barely reaches the edge...

The build quality compared the Antecs definatly better on the outside the plastic and steel just more heavy but the inside build quality of the Akasa is better.

The Space is a god send for that reason alone the Akasa is a worthy purchase, I dunno about getting an Akasa 62 again but hopefully a bigger and better Case is somewhere out there ;)

Highlander if you can afford it get a Silverstone TJ09 or a Lian Li PC-A10B. Pricier but so much better. :)

You guys are tempting me already.... time to start building a cheapo pc and selling it off with the Antec 900 just to recoup my 65quid back lol

tbh one reason I like the Eclipse/mirage better is because of the tray, with the 900 you can't fit the cooler outside of the case, you have to put the tray in then fit it!

not entirely try...I fitted a Scythe Ninja cooler to mobo before fitting the mobo in my 900! You dont have any choice due to the size and position of the CPU cooler. If you fitted the board first...you would struggle big time to get the CPU cooler clips fastened down.

Apart from that...owned both also....and would agree with just about every comment.....allthough i did like the blooo lights at the front:D

Overall the Antec 900s a good case, still prefer its better airflow over the Akasa 62 but having said that I think it does feel cramped and its no joy to work on the Akasa is better in this light and im sure most will find that overall making it a better case I too gotta admit the Akasa did feel better especially when I saw the cables ! And then Couldnt hide them !

One thing I cant do is go back to the akasa Eclipse62 or the Mirage due to the door... as much as it is a brilliant case that Front plastic and that hum/wierd vibrations and cooling wasnt that good I felt.

Oh well ive just made 60 quid so ive recouped the loss on my Antec 600, next case Silverstone....

Thats not the 1st time ive heard that...

Im not sure why I use to get it.... but I do know sometimes ie 5am in morning id hear a whirring noise and id have to move my eclipse a bit or tap it and it goes ;)

Of course if u remove the front panel and grill u will notice theres less of a vacuum type sound.

Maybe im being very anal here cos Im a Silence Freak... Im in a small bedroom so my pcs 1 meter away from my head.... so I have to be quite frankly.
