My apartment Project log

Well we had a few agents round and thats the sort of number they had come to. There is nothing to compare it to but a 3500 sq ft house in the same area can go for £800 to £900k but they will have a big garden. However my place is twice the size and has a excellent spec.

Heh, my house is 3800sq ft purchased for $350-400 usd, £225k gbp.. Finishing is not to your standard but is reasonable, very high end kitchen for example (huge, walk in pantry, solid gravity, Jen-air pro gas cooker, giant steal fridge, bar). Also have Half an acre, triple garage etc.

Go America!

Lower housing prices are not a good thing in my book, it is possible to play our (ridiculous) market which you just couldn't do to the same effect over there. Most of my wealth is due to it and almost all of my families wealth has been generated through it. Where our housing market is fantastic is that most people (especially) in the south with BTL portfolios are sitting on a fortune for retirement.

I thought I would post up a few more photos, we have not done that much just littles bits and bobs over the last months as I have been busy with work.

Sadly we are selling up and moving back down to london, hopefully into Notting Hill area.

I will put some better photos when we put it up on the market.

How many bedrooms is it, 3?

It does look amazing but the kitchen seems to let it down - maybe there's more to it than the pictures show.

Do you reckon you would have made profit on the project? Getting a lorry/crane to transport a mattress etc couldn't have been cheap. :) In the last 4 years property prices (even in Sheffield) must have gone up a good few % naturally anyway?

I'll look forward to having a nose on Rightmove soon. :p

Good luck with the sale.

Lovely looking place!

Thanks

Hi, 4 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms and 2 study rooms.

I am not going to make any money on it at all, I would be lucky to get my money back.

Regarding the kitchen, there is quite a lot more to it, its probably the best thing in the house and set us back over £70k, I will post more photos later.

Why bother if the moment it's finished you have sell for no gain ?

Seems a load of stress and time for nothing really ?

Thanks guys, I should have known I am a city boy and cant live in the country and the wife does not want city life.

I have put in a offer on a place in Notting Hill, again another project but a lot smaller.
