I'm not one for pain. I've suffered all manner of injuries and never complained. From chopping the tip of my finger off with a biltong chopper to having 13 stitches across my dome after becoming a bit of a claret fountain, to coming off bikes countless times and breaking all sorts of bones, it's never bothered me. Even rolling over on a quadbike and getting squashed by the bloody thing, never really hurt.

Until Friday. I slipped down the stairs at home and fell on my tail bone. I've not been able to sit or stand correctly since as every movement hurts like hell. Even getting in and out of the car I look like I'm a hundred years old.

If anyone asks, I was saving children from a burning orphanage.

if i die you can haz my stuffs ktnx

Ouch :(

Uh, you need a doctor. You may have damaged your your spine, should get your lower back and pelvis scanned.

I used to know an MMA fighter who injured his back and just ignored the pain for 2 months and kept fighting until his legs started going numb, finally went to doctor and found out his back was broken

<bants>Got rekt by stairs LOL. Time to get a stair lift bro!</bants>

I had something similar due to a motorbike accident. The good news is there's apparently nothing they can do to treat it. As I recall it took about a month before normal movement was resumed.

I was trying to find that GIF image of the Stannah stairlift that was done in ZX81 graphics. Made it look like it was from Manic Minor or Jet Set Willy :D Sadly can't find it though.

In other news / bants, I had a madras curry last night. My arse was pretty violent after that.

Feel your pain, was in America and literally jumped into the third row of our rental vehicle bottom first, cracked my tail bone on the seat buckle, couldn't really sit down for a week and was in pain for well over a month.

Good luck!

Snowboarding here. Had to bury my arse for 20-25 mins in the snow until it was numb enough to make it back down the mountain :D

That was holiday over, at least I made it 5 days out of 7.

The thread title reminded me of an old joke; a kid comes home from school and tells his dad that he had sex with his teacher.
Dad’s so proud that he tells the kid that he’ll buy him a bike.
The kid said that he’d rather have a train set, his bum still hurts and he’d rather not sit on a saddle.

I was watching 'Emergency' on Channel 4 earlier, a bloke on there slipped out of a chair onto his tailbone and properly ****** himself up. Get yersen up the hospital for a check.

One of the first things I saved up for with my first job aged 18. It's bloody ace. :D

Had one installed ready for my old man when he came out of hospital. He didn't come out and was transferred to the nursing home. It's never been used. Actually I tell a lie, I've used it twice (just to test it still works, and because I can be a lazy **** at times). What really ****** me off is Stannah offered a paltry £750 to buy it back three days after it had been installed.

I once wheelied my bike and looped out basically slamming down on concrete at the park in front of my kids, also hurting my tail bone. I can remember the pain. I thought I had broken something but it was just bruising.

Aww, diddums :o

But you're right, broke butt is no joke. I slipped on ice back when we had all that snow and cold weather a few years back. Agony. Falling down as an adult sucks

I've broken my tail bone 2 maybe 3 times now and it's literally the biggest pain in the backside ever :o

Last time I done it was probably a decade or more ago and I still sit wonky.

Awwww Diddums

Serious though, done my tail done falling down the stairs too - hurts like hell, cold/heat on the base whilst lying on my front for a couple of days.
