Very true, I used to work on my clean separately(although obviously not enough ) though so it'll be nice to do them independently of each other.

Your maximum clean should be around 90% of your front squat, which should be around 90% of your back squat.
Use that as a gauge for how good/bad your clean and front squat are.
In other words, if you can't clean enough to completely nail yourself with front squats, your technique isn't... optimal.
