As a few of you may remember i bought a stunning 2001 Honda Accord 1.8i VTEC Sport about 5 weeks ago, god i loved that car. . . . .

Anyway, last Monday at about 6pm i was traveling home from work on a NS B road. It was raining so i was travelling at about 50mph. As i approached a left hand bend i saw a Ford pick up travelling/sliding towards me at speed with his front end on my side of the road.

There was no where to go, i braced myself , broke and SMASH!!!

He was fine, a bit shaken but fine.

I was carted off to hospital where it was discovered i have 2 cracked ribs, Whip lash and a fractured shoulder blade.

I have since spoken to a witness who was behind him and it turns out just before he lost it he had overtaken them at speed and then lost it on the wet road as he pulled back in, resulting in him swinging back out.

Not impressed, i loved that car.

Mate sod the car, at least you are ok, you can always get another car.

Mind I remember my 1st smash,I was gutted (Still am now):(

I am very lucky, the car did what it was supposed to. Air bags went off etc and ive only got minor scratches and a few bruises to my legs.

Luckilly he was insured and allthough he admitted liability at the scene his insurance havnt yet, but the police at the time said it very much looks like he was on my side of the road + there are 2 witnesses. Might go for a 2.0i Accord SE Exec and then a BMW when i sue his ass :p

It's unkillable.

Goes back in May thank ****.

/closes eyes and clicks heels together - nope, it's still parked outside.

/tries again - nope, still there.

It's only a shame you can't take the money directly from him, what a lunatic.

Hopefully the bill to his insurance will be so big his premium will be thousands next time round.

I got £500 when I was 13 for being in the back of a car and some foreigners coming into the back of us (brakes didn't work apparantly). I got no injuries whatsoever and had worse Dogem experiences. My sister's got thousands for some minor whiplash. You should be in line for a hell of a lot with cracked ribs etc.

Glad you're ok, as others have said it's just a car that can be replaced... you not so easily ;)

Go for the compo claim, it was his fault and you will then be able to buy a really nice car again.
