Was 150 yds from OCUK - now 0.5 mile; they moved
For the past few weeks our cat, Dave, has been bringing us gifts. Dead field mice that she is catching and killing, she has progressed to placing them on our stairs (bringing them in via the bathroom window - jumping from the extension roof)

Anyway today she was going mental at our back door, she really wanted my attention.

I followed her outside and she has brought me this delightful gift.

Firstly, I'm shocked the rat lost the fight, our cat isn't very big, this rat is about the same size as the cat.

Secondly what is the best way to dispose of it? I really don't know.

Chuck it in the bin perhaps?

I had a Canadian Goose dive bomb be once when filling up the car at a petrol station. Died on impact. Attendant came out and just stuffed it into a bin. The thing barely fitted in. It was a bit surreal to be honest.

Don't think a rat in your wheelie bin will be an issue!

Find another neighbour who has cats and place the present on their doorstep. Start meowing at them every time you see them from now on.

Put it in the recycle bin if you have one . It will be a skeleton in a few days in this heat ,did the same recently with a magpie that my cat gifted me .

Somebody joked about putting it on a BBQ, I joked about a country which had illegal rat meat in food. Both jokes are jokes.

Hence the winky face on my comment. Seriously?

I have thrown the rat in the garden waste bin, and smothered it in thick bleach, hopefully that will stop and mass onset of maggots in my bin.
