They're sellouts

There's no such thing as sellouts, music is a business.

As soon as you sell a record and take money for it, you've sold out, your art has become a business.

If you make one penny from music, it's become business.

Sellout is a word only used by people are either angry that 'lesser' music is more popular than what they like, or people who are jealous of success.

Let me guess, if Enter Shikari get huge, will they be sellouts too?

You'll drop them like they're hot if they do I bet, same as all your pretentious elitist mates.

Enter shikari are sellouts since they dropped the roaring bits and other heavier aspects from the release versions :)

Well said and spot on.

What I want to know is did Metallica unsellout when they released St Anger?

The biggest 'sellout' must be the Lost Prophets because their new album sounds nothing like the others.

And don't forget the band that continually changed their music to be the biggest sellouts - Led Zeppelin.

Well, loads of people accused Metallica of selling out when they released Master of Puppets  The same people, probably, were the ones giving the howls of rage when they released the black album, and saying that they should go back to how they sounded when they did MoP.

You're definitely right about the Metallica album (black).
I forget, it was 18 years ago :)
