Really sorry to hear that. It's always incredibly difficult, and like losing a family member. I had to PTS my terrier at a couple of months short of 18 years old, just over a year ago so I know how you feel mate. I'm sure your collie (Border?) had a great life, you'll soon be left with just happy memories mate but you do always miss them.

We lost ours when he was 15 due to illness. I'll never forget it. We let the Vet take him inside (when covid was affecting the country) .They set the drug up to put him out of his misery and then brought him back out us. We placed him in the boot of our car temporarily, where we then stroked him watching the light go from his eyes. Sorry for your loss.
