My conroe overclock :)

Ok after having problems when i first got this new build and not being able to overclock it more than 200mhz (memory problems, RMA geil ram). My spec is as follows hmm

Intel C2D E6300
Gigabyte DS3
Artic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro
1GB Geil PC6400
OCuK 7900GS 512mg
OCZ 520 Modstream
1 x Maxtor 160GB (Sata1)
1 x Hitachi 150GB (Sata2)
Asus MW221u - Very nice idd

Not sure what the case is but it has 1 case fan on the side drawing air in onto the GFX card, 2 on the back takeing air out from behind the AC7

I overclocked the GFX card, 3D mode its running at 575/1450 @ 40c - The core will go more but im happy with this, the RAM is locked at that, needs volt modding to increase which im not going to do. :D

Not sure if any one uses HWINFO32 benchmarks but i got ermmm

CPU Benchmark - 74924

Your E6300 is operating really hot, but atleast you can get that kind of speed stable unlike mine :/
 
Your temps are very hot. My 6300 @ 3ghz idle is currently 27deg C and gets to around 40-45 when maxxed. I have a tuniq tower 120. I had an Artci Freezer 7 pro and found it didnt sit correctly. I sent it back got a refund and bought the tuniq - never looked back since.

I would check the AF is sitting flush with the cpu.

Tony whats your vcore set on?
 
vcore way to high for that overclock
most conroes will overclock to 3.2 on 1.30 volts

my conroe 6400 at 3.4ghz is running 1.34volts
temps are 42 idel 59 full load thats with heating
on.
 
Do you think my RAM is causing Orthos to error and not my CPU, because Orthos always errors within an hour when I've overclocked to 2.8GHz on 1.45v?

If you mean me then im planning on going on further. I have followed the instructions from Duke in the DS3 owners thread.
 
Chancers are its your ram, i had the same problem, my errors happend after 7 seconds, take out 1 module and try it and do the same with the other, if it fails on both then its ** cpu i suppose :/

What make ram is it?
 
yeh definitely ram if it fails blend

had same problem myself and found out my ram had 2 diffrent trfc
numbers so they were't a match pair even though they had same
part numbers on sticks.

and they would fail blend in under 10 mins
yet memtest passed them good with a good few passes.

So you think I should RMA my set if I get errors on Orthos RAM stress test at stock settings? Done an hour on the CPU stress test and not got any errors yet.
