thats the thing that annoys me most about track driving

you have to wear a helmet and can hear naff all. You could be driving a ferrari f430 v8 and be none the wiser through the helmet (least the ones ive been loaned when i do track driving as i dont own one)

Note the level of water is higher in the dipstick breather channel!

3 litres of water in the sump, the dipstick tube there is reading as if there is 4.5 litres in the sump.
 
can you drill the bottom of the channel so that it drains out? Or is that the mod that was mentioned earlier?
 
Im a bit confused.

Are you saying the sump only had 3 litres of oil in but you thought it was 'full' (with 4.5litres in)
 
No, I poured a measured 3 litres of oil in (the oil in the dipstick tube sat at a higher level).

If you had put the dipstick in, it would have read 4.5 litres when there was only 3 in there.
 
Not bothering to read it all again.

But what measures have you taken to make sure that this doesnt happen again?
