Just to keep you all informed, if any of you nice folk wanted a copy, the final version has been submitted - I'm now waiting for Bill Bryson to write the foreword! (Probably more excited about that than the whole book)

Just wanted to say well done on the book, I read the whole of the pdf version of the blog and thought it was great; really entertaining and made me really jealous, I wish I'd done something like that before life commitments got in the way.

And a foreword from Bill Bryson, very nice!!

I love Bill Bryson! How did you get him to contribute?

He's such a nice guy - he's done some charity events for us, and an ambassador for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust (who we do all of our island fundraising for). I had his details so wrote him a letter, reminded him of what we did (rally) and he agreed.

Possibly the best choice I can think of? Jovial, renowned travel writer perfectly suited to the genre I'm writing!
